FCT Command Police operatives attached to the anti-kidnapping unit and the Rubochi Division Police Headquarters, Wednesday 24, January, 2024, rescued 14 kidnapped victims at about 0530 hrs, in the continued fight against kidnapping in FCT.

The Police Public Relations Officer, FCT, Command, SP Josephine Adeh, in a statement on Thursday, January 25, 2024, said the combined team, acting on credible intelligence invaded the Kidnapper's den located at Ukya village via Nasarawa State bordering FCT.
She explained that on sighting the police operatives, the kidnappers engaged, open fire on the police operatives, which resulted in the exchange of gun fire, adding that the police operatives killed one of the kidnappers, as the rest scampered to nearby forest with various degrees of bullet wounds.
"The hostages who were rescued unhurt, have since been reunited with their loved ones
"The Commissioner of Police, FCT, CP Haruna G. Garba, psc, wishes to reiterate his commitment to rid FCT of Criminality in all its manifestations and maintenance of peace for all and sundry.
